Mary McCatty - Executive Director, Dance Instructor and Choreographer
Mary McCatty has performed, choreographed and taught master classes around the world in all areas of dance. Her teaching credits include Broadway Dance Center in NYC, Ligon Performing Arts School, Showstopper Nationals, Main Street Theatre & Dance in NYC, Paper Mill Playhouse Summer conservatory and numerous classes around the USA. She started her dance career after many years as a top competitive gymnast in Michigan and then became a Principal dancer with The Metropolitan Ballet Company of Michigan.

Mary has appeared on Broadway in The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, My One and Only with Tommy Tune, Sophisticated Ladies, Funny Girl, Late Show with David Letterman, Annie Get Your Gun as Dolly Tate, Jesus Christ Superstar and, for many years, as a Radio City Rockette at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

As a choreographer, Mary was the winner of the Paper Mill Playhouse rising star award for outstanding choreography for the show Steel Pier. She has choreographed many shows including The Baayork Lee Project, Steps in Time, Murder at the Music Hall, Grease, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls and Industrials. Mary has also choreographed fashion shows around the world. Recently she choreographed the opening number for NWCA 25th anniversary Gala starring Vanessa Williams, Richard Gere, Peter Pucci, Paul Schaffer and Alan Menken. Mary is currently a teaching artist for American Ballroom Theatre’s Dancing Classroom’s, the NYC program from the hit documentary Madhot Ballroom.
